About Us
What is the Foundation for Sustainable Senior Centers?
Every day in this country, millions of seniors face an impossible decision – food or medicine. According to a new government analysis, one in six older Americans lives below the federal poverty line. At 16%, the proportion of seniors living in poverty is also higher than the proportion of all Americans in poverty. Access to affordable, appropriate, and nutritious food and medicine is critical to helping low-income older Americans maintain good health and independence during the second half of their lives.
You can help.
The Foundation for Sustainable Senior Centers of Scottsdale is a city-wide resource for those who have had their finances, health and or safety affected by external factors beyond their control. Maintaining the dignity of the individual at all times is paramount, to ensure they can celebrate life and reach their fullest potential. Become a member of the Foundation for Sustainable Senior Centers and help us provide the extra funding needed for seniors in our community.
